From savory classics like kalua pork and lomi lomi salmon to sweet treats like shaved ice and tropical fruits, these favorites are just the tip of the Hawaiian-style food pyramid. Many restaurants source locally, partnering with the island’s fishers, farms, and purveyors to serve up the true taste of Maui. There’s a bounty of ingredients and flavors to discover for every traveler’s taste. We’ve made it easy to start exploring with delicious on-site dining at Aston Kāʻanapali Shores. You can take your tastebuds for a ride without even leaving the resort.

The Beach Club Restaurant & Bar

Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the all-day menu is available from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.​​

Dine indoors or al fresco while taking in views of neighboring islands Lanai and Molokai at The Beach Club Restaurant & Bar at Aston Kāʻanapali Shores. Serving up American dishes with a Pacific Rim flare, satisfy your sweet tooth with a fluffy stack of macadamia or banana-studded Maui pancakes drizzled with coconut and maple syrup or Hawaiian French toast dipped in cinnamon goodness. The all-day dining menu features juicy coconut shrimp, barbecue ribs prepared “island style,” and kalua pork flatbread dressed with roasted pineapple and mango barbecue sauce. And if you’re busy soaking in the sunshine, take your bevvies and bites poolside.

Weekly specials include Wine Down Wednesday with savings on select bottles and glass servings; Prime Cut Thursday starring our house specialty rub on a 9-oz cut prime rib paired with live music and Hawaiian entertainment; and Pau Hana Fridays with happy hour specials and live music.

Coffee Café

Fuel up with a visit to Coffee Café in our lobby and choose from a selection of coffees, cappuccinos, and lattes. For something more substantial, grab an Açaí bowl or fresh pastries for your jaunt to Haleakala or the Road to Hana.

  • Kimo’s Maui – Home of the famous Hula Pie (chocolate cookie crust, toasted macadamia nuts and macadamia nut ice cream), plus prime rib, fresh seafood, and pupus
  • Big Wave Shave Ice Company Kapalua – Outdoor seating with shave ice and tropical ice cream. Pick any three flavors for a sweet treat to beat the heat
  • Merriman’s Kapalua – An elevated farm-to-table experience with oceanfront views. Dinner is a bit fancier, but the happy hour is worth a stopover for smoked taro hummus, kalua pork quesadillas, and drink deals
  • Honoapiilani Food Truck Park – When everyone wants something different for dinner, a food truck round-up solves the problem. Cultures collide here with Thai, Mexican, and Hawaiian flavors, plus veggie-friendly options
  • Captain Jack’s Island Grill – Sometimes, you need to go to a pirate themed pub. Kona and Kohola beers are on tap here alongside crab cakes, wings, and tacos
  • Miso Phat Sushi Lahaina – Tucked away in a condo building, this is a cozy casual sushi counter that got the thumbs up from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. There’s no fuss here with playful maki combos, baked rolls and chef specials. You can even BYOB
  • Maui Dragon Fruit Farm – Pitaya, AKA dragon fruit, thrives on Maui and a visit to this farm is a must with fruit and tea tastings and friendly alpaca to keep you company
  • Island Vintage Coffee (Whalers Village) – Locals love their Kona coffee, and the baristas here brew it best and infuse island flavors such as coconut, banana, and macadamia

Looking for something casual, on-the-go, or to prep in your kitchen? Visit nearby farmers markets like Napili Farmers Market or Olowalu Farmers Market for fresh produce, baked goods, and locally made treats. You’ll also find quick bites and daily essentials at ABC Stores, Safeway, and Longs Drugs in nearby shopping centers.
